The mini U-Boot See-Hund was the final idea for simple attack patterns the Deutsch Kriegsmarine put into place at the end of the Second World War. Thanks to their slender silhouette, invisible to the sonars at the time, their silent engines and excellent behavior when at sea, the Kriegsmarine expected a lot from these small units. The 285 submarines sent at sea ended up sinking 93 000 allied ships' barrels, with the French destroyer "La Combattante" amongst them. The war missions, that couls last up to 7 days, required remarkable physical and psychological capacities from their two men crew.
