Bomber Vessel - Sloop
H.M.S. GRANADO - Bomb Vessel 1742
The Granado bomber ship was ordered on 14th September 1741.
Its distinctive lines and atypical curves suggest that it was designed as a sloop.
With the imminent approach of what was to become the 7 Years' War, the Granado was converted into a bomber vessel. Armed with two 13-inch mortars, 10 4-pounder cannons and close-defence couleuvrines.
The model includes high-precision laser-cut wooden parts, photoetched brass and copper parts and complete fittings. (Sails not included).
