Smuggler's Hoy

John Carter, nicknamed the King of Prussia and who gave his name to the "Prussia Cove" Bay, between Penzance and Porthleven, was the most famous and talented smuggler of Cornwall. He dominated the sea from 1777 to 1807, and his son-in-law took after him after his death.
