The RX-3 is an outboard hydroplane, powered by a six-cylinder, Mercury Mark 75 outboard motor generating 60 BHP. It is the boat with which Hugh Entrop set up a new speed record of around 200 km/hr in the international CLASS X in the year 1958.
This version is a semi-scale model.
The hull and top cover are moulded in epoxy GRP.
The wooden parts are laser-cut. With a 3S LiPo battery the boat is capable of speeds up to 55 km/hr. The kit contains: The kit includes all the GRP and wooden parts required to build the model. The high-quality etched nickel-silver parts set includes trim rails, window frames, ventilation grills, instrument panel, running boards and steering wheel.
