English Navy cannon - 1876

This English cannon was built in Scotland, in the city of Caron, between 1876 and 1879.

It was the very first cast-iron cannon. Its range was short, but its efficiency was unmatched.

The H.M.S. Victory had two of these cannons on its front deck.
